Drawing inspiration from W.E.B. Du Bois’ Data Portraits, I aimed to visually represent over 180 churches within a six-mile radius of my home in Chattanooga, known as the 'Buckle of the Bible Belt.' Growing up surrounded by this abundance of churches felt normal, yet my research revealed how deeply embedded Christianity was in my childhood experience.
